Llama Trekking for Two

Llama Trekking for Two
Price: £93

What does the activity include?
Upon arrival you will be given an introduction about llamas followed by instruction on handling these lovely animals, then it's time to meet your fury friend for your trek. The trek will lead you across approximately 4 miles of beautiful Northamptonshire country as you pass arable, pasture and woodland with your llama by your side.
Once back at the farm you will be invited to visit the mother and baby llamas and view the llama fibre goods made from the farms own llamas.

Where does the experience take place?
Lois Weedon near Towcester in Northamptonshire

What should I wear?
Long trousers and comfortable, strong footwear / walking boots are advisable. Even in summer some of the bridleways can be wet underfoot.

How long should I allow for this experience?
Please allow approximately 2 ½ to 3 hours for the whole experience. The actual trek itself lasts approximately 2 hours and covers around 4 miles.

When does the activity take place?
The experience is available on most weekdays and weekend all year round subject to availability.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance (although you may need to give more notice for weekends during the summer) to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher. This is only a guideline and we advise you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. You must book and take your experience before the expiry date. All bookings are subject to availability.

Are there any restrictions?
Minimum age is 12 years. Participants must be fit enough to walk approximately 4 miles over rough ground.

What about the weather?
The experience will only be cancelled in the event of a heatwave, in cases like this an alternative date will be offered to you.

Can I bring spectators?
Spectators are not permitted on the trek itself but are more than welcome to wait for you back at the farm.

What else do I need to know?
Dogs are not permitted on site. Unfortunately there is no disabled access on the trek. We ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your start time as we aim to start treks promptly and late arrivals may miss their trek and consequently forfeit their voucher. Refreshments are not included, however there is a picnic site at the farm should you wish to bring your own food. Nearest train station is Banbury. Your voucher is valid for nine months from the date of issue. Personal accident & cancellation insurance are included. Kindly note that each centre has their own cancellation policy and fees. Some centres may not allow a booking to be cancelled or changed once it has been made.
