Game Overview
Carnival takes you on a virtual journey around......well.....a Carnival, surprise surprise! Loads and loads of mini games that you would find at your average carnival or theme park, ranging from Day at the Races, Dunk Tank, Ring Toss or Shooting Gallery to name just a few.
Very much a multiplayer title that makes hardly any effort what so ever to keep you entertained in single player. The Wii is a community console that is played with mates and Carnival backs that up very well indeed, we attempted to play Carnival on single player but if even one person watched you play it won't be long before they are saying "Let me have a go at that, i can beat your score", at this point you are best going over to multiplayer.
Graphics are fairly bland and don't really say "Carnival" to you, we really were expecting a lot brighter colours and a little bit more on screen action but sadly there is none. The soundtrack is a typical theme park soundtrack with annoying stall owners explaining how to play their game way to frequent for our liking (as if we didn't know already!)
The motion sensor works very well with Carnival as it is used for underarm and over arm throws, and turning it side ways and flicking forwards to throw a ball in alley ball. We did find though that most of the mini games are pretty easy and don't offer up to much of a challenge which did stop some of the games being all that entertaining.

Our Conclusions
Carnival is without a doubt a multiplayer game unfortunately though you have to take it in turns on most games, we think it would have been better on split screen and actually competing against each other at the same time to make it that little more competitive. In general though, don't get this if you are billy no mates, for £14.99 in most places, it might be worth picking up if you are planning on having a lads night in but there are plenty of better multiplayer games out there.
Overall Score: 5/10
