Game Overview
Cricket is a mans sport, it goes in to the list which obviously includes Football, Boxing, Golf etc, however it doesn’t seem to be that much of a popular sport and is always in the shadow of other manly sports. It is one of those sports that people prefer to play rather than watch and to be honest we fall in to that category.
So after extensive testing and analyzing we can tell you that Cricket 2002 is not a bad game and actually gets you a little excited about such a quiet game, and for some obscure reason is really addictive, how is this possible, it's Cricket for crying out load, well if you don’t believe us, it's only a fiver, see for yourself!
The graphics leave a bit to be desired especially when they are up close to the player but from a distance, like when you are getting ready to bowl and you have a view down the wicket, they look quite good, but when the players are walking on to the field come of them do look like they either have a gammy leg or have hemorrhoids. So a bit hit and miss really, quite hard to comment on.
The gameplay we found took quite a bit of getting used to, we highly recommend using the nets to get your bowling speed and accuracy up to scratch as if you just walk into a one day test without having played the game before, like we did, you will get hit for 6 every time and gets really annoying.
Cricket 2002 is a few years old so maybe it is a little unfair to judge it against more recent games seeing as though technology advances so quickly! It was a big release for EA when it first came out and one im sure they were very proud of and now they have made it onto the "Sold out" range its almost like being added to a Hall of Fame.

Our Conclusions
For a fiver, you really can’t complain, it does take a little bit of getting used to and you will find yourself getting rather upset when Brian Lara has a field day with your bowlers and fielders, just take it from us, keep practicing and plugging away, you will get there. It's quite lucky because the game is so addictive you don’t mind playing over and over to get your game to perfection.
Overall Score: 7/10
