Game Overview
Domination has the formal look of all war/battle strategy games, the only way to describe this look to a complete alien would be the Red Alert look. If you don't know what Red Alert is then you really shouldn't be browsing the games pages! Go and check out the Hot Women Contest! To go along with the "Red Alert" look it has some excellent graphics which try to depict everything you need it too.

The gameplay is brilliant and very, very challenging. The press release states the game has 150 - 200 hours of gameplay and boy can we believe it, unfortunately we can't play every single game we get to the end otherwise we would be playing this for an awful long time! The only problem we found with the amount of gameplay is that it did get a little bit tedious as the game is turn based and in our eyes Domination would have benefited more from being and all in strategy game rather than turn based. Some people would disagree with us, we know a lot of people that adore turn based strategy games like Domination and to them this game is perfect, but for your average gamer all in would have gone down a lot better!

Sound quality is definitely missing; we at BlokesOnly love to comment on the sounds, to us the sounds make or break a game. If it sounds pants then really it stops you from taking a game seriously and can sometimes spoil it. Sound really helps build up the tension and atmosphere that surrounds all games; it helps drag you into the game and locks you in. Domination doesn't have very good sound to be honest, the voice overs are fairly bog standard and you can picture a guy sitting in front of a mic bored out of skull saying the same thing over and over. Unfortunately it doesn’t do anything for us but turn the sound off and you have got a pretty darn good game.

The AI in Domination is fantastic and there aren’t many games on the market that can compare to Domination. Think of it as a game of chess, if you leave your King vulnerable your opponent will pounce without a seconds thought, well dominations AI is exactly the same. None of that pussy footing about, it can and will destroy anything it wants, which obviously makes for one heck of a challenging game. You really have to give it some thought and make sure you don't just waddle in there guns blazing, it won't work! The AI knows what you need to accomplish to gain victory and it will do anything it can to stop you! Look out; you’re in for a long night!

Our Conclusions
Domination is a definite for all strategy fans, it takes a long time to get used to the turn based side of the game, and it can get quite annoying at times but once you overcome that, then let battle commence!
