Game Overview
As you probably know, we are huge fans of the Football Manager games all two of them so far, having close links with Sega has been brilliant whilst FM06 has been in the making, all the news has been delivered here first and it has been a privilege testing the game weeks and weeks before it even went to final print!

The new addition brings more leagues, more players, better training, better match engine with half time and full time team talks, dugouts at the side of the 2D pitch (it's about time, our little players have somewhere to sit now rather than stand on the side of the pitch like they are cheering on their kids on a Sunday morning!)

The interaction between yourself (the gaffer) and the media as well as the board and the players has been improved and really gives you a proper insight into what managers go through when dealing with all these aspects of the games. Be careful not to annoy your players to much by telling them they were the worst player on the field, they have a tendency to leave the club and come back to score a hat trick against you later on in the season, and that's just the keeper!

Football Manager 2006 won't look all that different to your missus or the Rugby players out there who can't quite get the hang of kicking a ball and using skill rather than just throw the ball and quickly decking the closest player to you. It is almost identical to FM05 in terms of the layout, but for hardcore Football Manager fans you will notice differences here there and everywhere right from the kick off. One thing you will notice is how tactically precise you have to be in order to compete, Football Manager 2006 is a lot harder than it's predecessor and you will find that out pretty quick when your top flight team are struggling to beat the likes of Doncaster and Forest Green in pre season friendlies. Tactical awareness and player morale is key to this amazing game!

It's hard to imagine that Football Manager could get anymore addictive than it already is, but, it has! We promise you that you will be playing this for hours and hours at a time. Does life get any better? No, we don't think it does, but then again you do have to be mad about football and management sims to think along the same lines as us.

Our Conclusions
It's going to be a tough year ahead of us, will we be celebrating promotion or struggling in the depths of relegation, this time next year we will be telling you how good Football Manager 2007 is but until then sit back and enjoy this magnificent game in all it's glory. Put the relationship on hold and book a couple weeks of work, you are going to need total concentration for this one. We are going to have to finish this review here because it's crying out to us, PLAY ME! We must obey! The best just got better! Happy Managing BO readers!!
