Game Overview
Colin McRae 2005 Plus will have you glued to your PSP for hours and hours AND HOURS trying to master every corner, listening very carefully for the Co-Pilots instructions whilst trying to concentrate on keeping your rally car on the track. Trust us, It's not easy!

The Career mode in Colin McRae 2005 is where you want to start, get those cars to full rally spec and thrash the living daylights out fo them through fields, forests, villages, deserts and of course the inevitable Snow stages. At the end of the individual stages you are given the chance to repair the damage on your vehicle, however, as certain repairs take longer than others you will need to time it just right as you only have an hour to complete the repairs, work out what you will need for the next stage as you wont be able to get everything done, unless of course you didn't smash your car up at all in the previous stage, which we doubt!

We found it quite hard to get to grips with the feel of the game, at first the game didn't feel all that responsive and it honestly felt like playing an old NES game but as you got used to it all it needed was for us to actually use the brakes whilst fighting a corner and we found that the car would actually turn, much like real life! Its not about speed (much) its about precision, timing and accuracy. We are probably completely wrong but sounds nice doesn't it.

Colin McRae boasts some wicked graphics, great sound effects, the PSP doesn't hold back and this game makes you realise how far we have come in the last 20 years in the gaming industry, it wasn't that long ago we were playing on the Gameboy with Green and Black graphics! The wireless networking function of the Sony PSP let's you compete against your mates, upto 8 players! The problem is, we don't know anyone with a PSP so we can't have a multiplayer session!

Our Conclusions
It's making a very good early inpact is the PSP, Colin Mcrae is one of the finer games on the system and one every PSP owner should invest in. With Colin McRae endorsing some of the best Rally games ever made how can we put this game down, the bloke is a geezer. Your bound to wind up playing Colin McRae 2005 for hours, not realising what the time is but not really caring, not only that it will give you the urge to Rally drive yourself. You reckon you have the testicular fortitude to try Rallying out for real we can sort that out for you, try the Rally Driving Section of BlokesOnly and see if you have got what it takes.
