Game Overview
In past titles you have controlled Crash through well designed, bright and colourful levels, smashing boxes, collecting fruit destroying enemies in a bid to defeat Neo Cortex, even the racing games have been platformers on wheels! Crash just doesn't do any other form of game, that's not to say we didn't enjoy the racing titles though.
In Crash of the Titans Neo Cortex is joined by Nina Cortex, who have mutated creatures of Crash's island into beasts, who have one thing in mind and one thing only, destroy Crash Bandicoot as he attempts to save his girlfriend Coco and of course the world!
Some great humor greets you throughout the game, straight from the off in fact, which means that not only does Crash of the Titans appeal to the kids with the bright colours and addictive "keep them quiet" gameplay it also appeals to adults with different levels of humour, and of course with most of us "adults" the "keep them quiet" gameplay works wonders and allows you to drift into a world of your own.
Throughout the game Crash comes up against these monsters that Cortex has created and obviously you have to defeat them, but instead of killing them off completely you are able to "jack" them, which basically means jumping on their back and riding them round using their strengths to defeat other monsters and allow you to progress through certain parts of the level. Eventually, "jacking" these beasts, does start to grow a bit old and the game itself becomes a little long in the tooth at times but you continue playing to see how it all ends and of course because it makes you laugh.
Graphics are pretty good in most places and it is by far the best looking platformer we have ever seen although it won't take much for it to be beaten and we are pretty sure that Little Big Planet will make short work of it.

Our Conclusions
It's a solid turnout from Vivendi and Crash, the gameplay can be incredibly easy at times and will become a bit tedious after a while but it's a sturdy title that a lot of platform fans have been waiting for, for some time. It's not the greatest game out there but if you want a fun game to play that makes you laugh then look no further than Crash of the Titans.
Overall Score: 6.5/10
Thanks to Vivendi and Idea Generation
