Game Overview
It's very hard to know where to start with Fight Night Round 3, but we are going to start with the graphics. You probably won’t get crisper graphics at the moment in any game, beads of sweat, lifelike crowd, muscle outlines and in general just beautiful graphics, a real sight for sore eyes. However we do have one bone to pick with them, it's a great touch have blood spraying out of the boxers mouth when they get pelted with the tenth haymaker in a row but in all honesty the blood that spurts out looks absolutely rubbish, it's hard to explain but a little bit more work should really have gone in too making the blood look realistic because at the moment it looks pathetic.
The career mode lets you create your own boxer and work your way up the ladder unlocking arenas, boxers and accessories as well Xbox Achievements as you go. EA have dummed down the player creator in Fight Night, the usual EA creator being very involved and letting you get your character looking exactly like you whereas in Fight Night Round 3 there is still an element of precision and craftsmanship but your created character will enter the ring looking absolutely nothing like you at all. We actually breathed a sigh of relief at this as you can spend ages creating your character to realise it looks nothing like you so this time it's down fairly quickly and is less annoying. A suggestion we have come up with is maybe EA can sort it out so that you save your character as a separate file and when a new game comes out you can load up your character and just change his outfit from Golf attire to Boxing. Idea??
Fight Night has some good animations throughout the game and the slowing down in the replay of a KO punch will make you want to honk your dinner all over the floor, watching the shockwaves ripple through the boxers cheek, their nose flatten and the sweat spray out from their head not to mention the blood and spit (but you know our views on that).
If you work your way up through the ranks and beat the best the game has to offer then hook your 360 up on Xbox Live and pit your ducking, blocking and punching skills against Joe Bloggs from Manchester, you are guaranteed to get a good run for your money and a little bit more excitement from the game! Ultimately this game has more potential online than any of the other gaming modes however if you are addicted to Xbox achievements then you are going to have to play the career mode through to the end! Good Luck!

Our Conclusions
There are boxing games then there is Fight Night Round 3, it's safe to say that for realism and overall gaming you aren't going to get a better boxing game then this absolute belter. Every game has its downers and Fight Night Round 3 is no exception but if you’re looking for a boxing game then this one give all the others we have played a first round KO!
Overall Score: 8/10
